Folks have already started asking us to reserve copies of the upcoming Jewelled Antler Library boxset for them, which is actually a pretty good idea, since this thing's going to be limited to 1,000 only and we'll probably just get one chance to order any in.
So, we figured we should post some info here about it. Due out on November 18th, via Porter Records, it's a deluxe 4cd boxset compiling the tracks from all dozen of the long-out-of-print 3" cd-rs that Jewelled Antler released five years ago in their "Library" series. Artists include: Thuja, Hala Strana, Kemialliset Ystavat, The Ivytree, Dead Raven Choir, Fursaxa, Claypipe, Muons, Uton, and more... you can look 'em up on our site and read our reviews of the original 3"s, if you like. These discs will include some extra bonus tracks, too: an unreleased 13th library installment by Ways Of God To Man and 12 new field recordings by Loren Chasse. All in all, 4 1/2 hours of nature-friendly, experimental dronefolkfreakpsych from California, New Zealand, and Finland. It should sell for around $60, not really sure yet exactly. Cheaper than trying to pick up the individual cd-rs on eBay, in any case!
If you'd like to preorder a copy from us, please email our mailorder dep't. (mailorder@aquariusrecords.org) and let us know. We'll put your name down for it and notify you when they show up. Thanks!
